Non-woven fabricsSpeciality Fibres and Materials have expertise in the production of all types of fabric including nonwoven, knitted and woven. By varying fabric design, many combinations of sometimes vastly different characteristics and properties are possible. In-house, we have clean room facilities for the production of carded webs, needlefelts and other non-woven fabrics to GMP standards. Experience gained through the processing of many different fibre types has given us a valuable competence in the production of such materials. Techniques for handling difficult-to-process fibres have been developed. In addition we have the capability of combining multiple layers of different fabrics, or of combining fabrics with totally different materials, in order to provide even more options for imparting optimum performance characteristics to the final product.
